Home For The Holiday

holiday 2014 home (5)I know my work season is coming to a close when I am able to do my pots and front door for winter.  I had a chance to take Rob over there this morning to see them.  My crews-busy with the year end details.  The trip to the front door was a pleasure for me.

  13. Well, today’s pictures certainly prove that the proverb involving the cobbler and his children’s lack of footwear (just teasing a little…hope you know) does not apply to you and the stunning outdoor decorations bedecking your entry way.

Dear Michaele, I had to wait a long time. But the wait is worth it. In the beginning years, I was a cobbler’s kid-no doubt! I leave some time now for my garden.I will enjoy this all winter long. all the best, Deborah

  14. So warm and inviting. Thank you for all inspiration with your posts and great pictures. That has been a great sourceof joy this past year.

Which h. Piniculata is that behind your shrubbery?
I’ve fallen in love with snowflake

  17. It always amazes me how every design you create is new, fresh, and inspiring!
In prior years, my family and I would travel to Michigan for Christmas, and never wanted to leave the shelter of my in-laws home due to the raw, freezing, elements outside!
But your designs and structures are so amazing, they invite you to explore beyond most imaginations.
I’d fight the snowstorms, and frostbite, just to tour all your clients properties!
Why not offer a sleigh ride tour with limited space and availability?
That is if the snow was too deep, I’d walk or crawl just to be included!

    • Deborah Silver says

Dear Beth, we rarely have snow before Christmas! And if we do, it doesn’t stay for long. No need for a sleigh yet! This year, the winter work was easy-always above freezing. The best and the worst of the winter weather is yet to come. Thank you so much for your letter. Being in the garden is not always easy. But that doesn’t mean it cannot be satisfying. Happy holidays to you. Best, Deborah
