I am almost done with the holiday and winter work.  Sometimes some of the best comes at the last.  These pots could not be simpler-sticks and lights.

Tara, they are brighter in the pictures than in real life. I take the pictures at a slow speed, so you can see the pot, and the landscape too. But they are bright enough to light your way. Deborah

  2. The end result is amazing…a nice firepit substitute. Really evokes warmth and flames, or the end of a flaming sunset! One of the best ideas I’ve seen, holidays or not.

Tell us about those sticks. How tall are they? They resemble giant horsetail rushes.
And is fine plant material the asparagus foliage you’ve written about?
I have a delivery of C7 white lights coming….thanks for the inspiration. I am sure I’ve spent 15 hours looking at your pots ‘n lights posts from the last several years.
I also ordered sinamay, but I think I’ve run out of time to learn ruching.

Dear Marie, the sticks are 7-8 feet tall. The fine plant material is just weedy perennial material from the field. Once you have the sinamay in hand, you’ll figure out what to do with it! You are welcome to the inspiration, Deborah

  4. Love it, love it, love it.
And I am glad that you can see the end of your holiday work…must be both grueling and a joy…all at once.
