A client who was keen to renovate the landscape in his front yard was still enchanted by a collection of immaculately pruned and maintained arborvitaes he had nurtured for many years – could we keep them? Of course. A collection of both small and large scale Green Gem boxwood were planted in all of the areas adjacent to the driveway and circular drive court. They provide a foundation and some context on the ground plane for those tall sculptural evergreens. Blocks of hydrangea “Little Lime” contrast dramatically with the sculptural forms of the evergreens.
